Several residents in California were stunned by the irresponsibility of workers who caused significant damage because they weren’t paying attention or didn’t care about the consequences. This after a U-Haul truck caused extensive damage on a street in Los Angeles, California, after driving through the area with a large tree branch lodged between the cab and the cargo box.
A video recorded by one of the victims and shared on Instagram shows the branch dragging along the street as the truck passes parked vehicles. In one clip posted by a car owner, the branch scraped over a black Toyota parked along the road, damaging its headlights, hood, windshield, and roof. The U-Haul continued down the street, with the branch denting several more vehicles before the truck eventually came to a stop near the end of the block.
The victim walked toward the driver, who had stepped out of the vehicle, to confront her about the damage to the cars. However, the driver offered no response and quickly got back inside. According to a post on X, a witness said that roughly 15 to 20 cars were either totaled or damaged in the incident. The sudden shift from an ordinary drive to widespread destruction left the internet stunned by the sheer absurdity of this incident.
Internet and Citizens Demand Accountability From the Company
Many netizens focused on the driver, who appeared somehow unaware of the destruction she was leaving behind, with several questioning how she managed to drag a massive tree through the street. Referring to the way the tree branches swept across the road, one user joked

“Hold on. You can’t tell me he didn’t notice the tree was stuck to the truck. Secondly, how did that tree get stuck like that on the truck? This dude had to be high as a kite.”

Another viewer criticized the person behind the camera for missing the most important angle of the viral video: the person behind the wheel.
