A message allegedly sent by a North Carolina parent is gaining attention online after reportedly being delivered to the wrong person. The letter, which included unusual claims about the items sent with it, quickly spread after a Reddit user said they had received it by mistake.
A photo of the letter was posted to r/mildlyinfuriating, where it was removed less than an hour later. In the now-deleted post’s description, the recipient, scottinthehousse, said they were also a parent. They added that they could not understand why the anti-MAGA sender would mail such a hostile letter, along with disturbing pieces of clothing, to the “wrong person,” especially since they were not a supporter of “Trump’s America” either.
The letter addressed controversial claims involving President Trump and minors, while also accusing Republicans of similar behavior. The person claiming to be a parent said they had sent a piece of their daughter’s stockings to “appease” the recipient, whom they believed to be a Trump supporter, and to keep them from “attacking a child.”
Redditors Criticise the Anti-MAGA Parents’ Behavior
Even though it was only up for less than an hour, the Reddit post accumulated hundreds of upvotes and over a hundred comments, many of which were remarks condemning the anti-MAGA parent. “It’s a typical deranged liberal,” wrote a commenter. “There’s nothing typical about this insanity,” responded another. Another said they couldn’t believe what they were reading: “This is so messed up.”
Some Redditors used this letter as an example that there can be irrational behavior from any political party. “[Is this] Proof that going off the deep end is across the spectrum?” questions one person. “There are crazies on both sides of the spectrum,” adds a second. A third accused the parent of indirectly abusing their own child: “If what he attached really is what he said it is, I’d call that child abuse in and of itself.”
