An Oregon woman has sparked outrage online after she was seen resting her bare feet on a table inside an Apple Store, with her shoes removed. Many viewers criticized the customer’s behavior as “entitled” and “arrogant,” while others questioned why neither nearby shoppers nor store employees appeared to intervene.
Reddit user theeq4alizer shared a photo of the “entitled lady” on both r/trashy and r/mildlyinfuriating, noting that “her feet reeked so bad.” The image shows the woman inside a store, with several other shoppers visible in the background. Most appear unfazed, likely because their attention was focused elsewhere. Foot odor allegations aside, thousands of commenters criticized the woman, arguing that she seemed to think this behavior was acceptable—inside a store, no less.
Many Users Criticized the Woman for Her Conduct
“I can’t fathom how anyone could think this is okay,” one commenter wrote. Another suggested, “I guarantee the workers were just busy helping other customers and asked her to wait. This is her malicious compliance.” Many others claimed it was “typical” behavior from Apple product owners. A third commenter added, “That doesn’t even look comfortable.”
One person who claimed to have worked at a “fairly upscale restaurant” said they had often seen wealthy women remove their shoes and “rub their feet on furniture that isn’t theirs.” Another commenter agreed, adding, “This is common on flights now, too—everyone takes off their shoes.”
Several commenters also questioned how OP could know what the woman’s feet smelled like, given that they were not sitting next to her. Others argued that mentioning the customer’s body odor felt like ragebait, since her behavior—not the smell—was the main issue.
This woman was not the only Apple Store customer to voice frustration over having to wait for employee assistance. In another instance, a woman at a Los Angeles location complained that staff were deliberately “ignoring” her, and she believed the treatment was racially motivated.
In any case, both customers illustrate how people can become impatient and even frustrated when retail customer service takes too long to assist them. Some choose to share their dissatisfaction on TikTok, while others may simply sit back and relax while they wait.
