Black Georgia Man Says He Was Reported to Police Over His Truck in Neighborhood Dispute: ‘I Feel Ya 100%’

An influencer from Georgia had his day take an unexpected turn when a cheerful car-washing video was interrupted by police. According to reports, the Black man’s neighbors called 911 and allegedly described him as a suspicious person. Fortunately, the responding officer handled the situation with professionalism and tact. Still, the Georgia influencer was understandably disappointed by his neighbors’ actions.

The incident occurred in Roswell, Georgia, involving influencer Glojays, aka Justin Keith, on December 27. Keith recently bought a Ford F-450 Dually, which is currently Ford’s heaviest-duty pickup truck, and wanted to make a video about washing it in front of his house in a supposedly “White neighborhood,” according to the influencer. However, Keith was surprised that a Georgia police officer disturbed the session:

the fact that he really admitted it 😂🤦🏾‍♂️😡

Apparently, the cops received an anonymous 911 call about suspicious activity. Keith, thankfully remaining somewhat composed, explains to the police officer that he’s just washing his car and even asks, “Who did I bother?.. I’m just cleaning my little truck– a Black man doing something right.” The cop still ran Keith’s ID, however, perhaps to double-check, and left without incident after determining the anonymous 911 call was a false alarm.

Now, despite the cop being reasonable with his actions and siding with Keith, the influencer still voiced out his frustration with his “White neighborhood.” It’s not clear who the 911 caller was, but they certainly judged and profiled Keith as suspicious. Keith rants that his neighbors should’ve talked to him first instead of calling the cops or weaponizing law enforcement immediately.

Some people online are telling Keith to move out

Many of Keith’s viewers are sympathetic to him and his struggles as a Black man in a White neighborhood, one commenter saying he relates to Keith’s experience, “I love living in a white neighborhood, til white neighborhood [expletive] happens 🤣🤣 i feel ya 100%.” Meanwhile, another person implied that the 911 caller might have simply been envious of Keith’s new Ford truck, “You’re doing something extremely right if you got white folks hating on you 😂.”

Of course, some have questioned what exactly the caller found suspicious in Keith’s activity, especially since he was just washing the truck, “I’m trying to figure what looks suspicious tho lol… you’re out there in the open for everyone to see you.” Keith isn’t exactly the first Black man to get a false alarm 911 call, as it’s something that happens occasionally, prompting an Instagram user to claim, “WE ALL LOOK SUSPICIOUS TO THEM.”

Hence, certain commenters also advised Keith to just move to a different and possibly more accepting community, “Plenty of black wealthy neighborhoods to tap in with in GA.” So far, Keith appears adamant about staying in his current neighborhood. Sadly, he might have to introduce himself to his neighbors and put extra effort into it so they won’t judge him because of his skin color.
