‘We Need This Guy Out of the Country’: New York Business Owner Faces Backlash After Offensive Gesture Interrupts Girls’ Video

Once the internet singles someone out, escaping its wrath can be nearly impossible—a lesson one New York man learned the hard way. In a video shared on Reddit’s r/hudsonvalley and on Instagram by user Iamzeroedin, two girls are seen dancing for TikTok when a random man approaches and interrupts them by making a Hitler salute. Unsurprisingly, the incident triggered intense online backlash, leading to the man’s identity being exposed and his business being flooded with negative reviews.

“It’s truly shameful that people—grown men—feel comfortable approaching two young women while doing something so racist and disgusting,” Iamzeroedin wrote, sharing the post on Facebook as well. Online users quickly identified the man in the video as the owner of Mandia & Sons Construction. Soon after, the business was flooded with negative reviews across multiple platforms, including its Facebook page and Yelp.

Teenagers of today are so stupid, they think that it’s illegal to throw up a Roman in America.

OP later confirmed the man’s identity, noting that he had insulted the girls on X and claimed it is not illegal to “throw up a Roman in America.” Iamzeroedin also added that the individual had deleted his Facebook account amid intense backlash, yet still appeared to believe he had done nothing wrong.

The construction business owner later made another post on X, claiming that his “Roman Salute” did not mean he hated “all blacks, all browns, and all Jews,” although many online users interpreted it differently.

Reddit Weighs In

“Name drop, he’s a domestic terrorist and doesn’t deserve peace,” demanded a Redditor. “Everyone should go bomb his Google reviews page as well,” suggested Iamzeroedin. “Dude just ruined his life and for what? To let the world know what a vile and disgusting person he is?” remarked another person.

“I really hate how these kinds of people feel so bold about being able to act this way,” sighed a third. “We need this guy out of our country. We don’t support nazis!” exclaimed a fourth.

Several online users also commented on Mandia & Sons Construction’s Instagram post, condemning the owner’s actions and hurling insults at him, including calling him a Nazi. Ultimately, what the New York man apparently considered a harmless prank on two girls proved to be a serious lapse in judgment—one that damaged not only his personal reputation but also the image of his entire business.
