On TikTok, Jaedin typically posts videos with her boyfriend, Jack, who is just months away from moving to Tempe, Arizona, to serve as a missionary. But in this particular video, it opens with the Utah woman arriving at the airport, where she explains that she is surprising her boyfriend by joining him on his five-day trip to Paris. But she was not the only unexpected guest: Jack’s mother was also coming along. Jaedin described her presence as an “added surprise.” Then she said in the video, “We’ve been planning this and keeping it a secret for so long, and I just couldn’t wait to see his reaction,” she said.
The clip’s caption said Jack was originally supposed to travel to Paris with his father for a five-day senior trip. Because the trip also doubled as a birthday celebration, his parents decided to surprise him by inviting both Jaedin and his mother to join them.
“Once he gets home from Paris, he has two weeks, and then he leaves on his mission to serve the lord and the people of Arizona,” she wrote. “So his parents thought he would enjoy getting to spend the extra time with me before he is off.“
The clip shows Jaedin walking up to Jack and saying, “Hey, you’re pretty cute. I’m just gonna tag along with you to Paris.” At first, Jack appears stunned, seemingly struggling to process the surprise. He eventually smiles and hugs Jaedin, his mouth still open in disbelief. “Is that okay?” Jaedin asks. The question is met with silence as Jack remains visibly shocked.
