Kodak Black Texas Concert Sparks Refund Demands After Viral Performance: ‘This Has Been Happening for Years’

Concertgoers understand the basic expectation: the artist takes the stage, delivers a solid performance, and gives fans their money’s worth. It’s a simple arrangement, and most musicians manage it without issue. But every so often, a live show veers completely off course. Texas has had its share of those moments, from overpriced festivals to artists canceling outright and making headlines for all the wrong reasons, after Kodak Black added his name to that infamous list, with footage from his concert doing him no favors.

Fans who attended Kodak Black’s Texas show on March 14 reportedly waited anywhere from three to nine hours before he finally took the stage. By the time he appeared, many felt the performance did little to justify the long delay. A video that quickly spread on social networks captured the chaotic moment. In the clip, Kodak appears onstage wearing a hoodie and moves awkwardly through the crowd, while attendees look visibly confused, and it is not hard to understand why.

The video includes overlay text describing how long fans had waited. It then shows Kodak making a few half-hearted movements before heading toward the DJ booth. By that point, he is shirtless and appears barely engaged with the audience. Watching the clip, it gives the impression that he is unsure of where he is or what he is supposed to be doing.

Refund demands began flooding social media almost immediately after the clips surfaced online. Fans who spent hours waiting inside the Texas venue described the night as one of the most frustrating concert experiences they had ever endured.

Not long before this incident, Kodak missed a show in Midland due to a flight delay, though he attempted to make up for it by performing elsewhere for free later that same night. After the March 14 performance, however, many fans appear far less willing to give him another chance.

The Internet Is On the Side of Kodak Fans in Texas

The moment quickly triggered a wave of online reactions, with many viewers trying to understand what they had just watched.

“He forgot what he was doing there, huh?”

“Shame on u for paying money to go see someone who clearly needs rehab lol.”

“At some point, promoters need to stop booking Kodak, and fans need to stop buying tickets. This has been happening for years now. You’re not paying for a concert, you’re paying for a lottery ticket on whether he shows up functional.”

Texas concertgoers are known for their patience, passion, and loyalty. Still, fans who pay for tickets expect a professional show in return. On March 14, instead of the performance they had hoped for, many left with a viral video, frustration, and a strong reason to ask for their money back.
