In March, 2025, insiders told The U.S. Sun that Timothée Chalamet’s family didn’t approve of his relationship with Kylie Jenner. A source revealed that the romance had caused some major “tension” with the actor’s family and that some members of the Chalamet clan were “furious” that he chose to hitch his wagon to the reality star.
“I think she’s only with him so she can stay in the spotlight,” a family member told the outlet. “She’s done this before in her previous relationships with other artists and rappers. In the opinion of many of us, they’re not a match made in heaven. It’s quite the opposite. She isn’t the one for him,” the source added.
The following month, Chalamet’s sister, Pauline, raised eyebrows when she made cryptic social media posts in disapproval of billionaires. Many fans thought it was a possible dig at Jenner, who was previously named a billionaire by Forbes.
“Pauline thinks that Kylie is with her brother because it looks cool and it’s nice to be in a relationship with one of Hollywood’s most exciting young stars,” a source told The Sun. “She thinks she’s with him to keep the spotlight on her.”
However, it’s not just Chalamet’s family that seems to be suspicious of the relationship. Jenner’s mother, Kris Jenner, has reportedly been worried aout a possible marriage between the couple. Radar Online reports that she’s urging her youngest daughter to draw up an iron clad prenup before doing something “impulsive” and marrying Chalamet.
In addition, Kylie’s Kardashian family members have been rumored to be encouraging her to use her relationship with Timothée as a storyline on their reality show in hopes of garnering better ratings. Kris allegedly sees dollar signs when she looks at the young couple. However, for now, Kylie’s putting her foot down and not allowing her personal life to become a soap opera on the Hulu series, per Heat World.
