There is no shortage of streamers and influencers performing outrageous—and sometimes dangerous—stunts in pursuit of online fame, whether intentionally or not. A recent incident involved Rayasianboy, a popular IRL streamer and influencer from Georgia. He was allegedly seen driving and revving a sports car on city streets while using his phone and not wearing a seatbelt—behavior that even his viewers called out.
The Twitch streamer in question is 20-year-old Chen-Ruei “Ray” Hsu, better known online as Rayasianboy or simply Ray. He recently went live while driving a modified car equipped with a nitrous tank in the back seat. During the stream, Ray noticed several viewers pointing out potential traffic violations, particularly since he lives in Atlanta, Georgia. A reuploaded clip of the moment can be seen here:
In the video, Ray is seen wearing a Santa hat, revving his sports car, and interacting with more than 2,800 Twitch viewers on his phone. He was also not wearing a seatbelt and told viewers, “My seatbelt’s broken, bro!” after they repeatedly asked where it was and why he was not using it. Others urged him to stay “focused on the road” and stop reading the chat while driving.
During the original four-hour stream, Ray also got into a brief dispute with some chat members and viewers, several of whom called him a “bad driver.” Ray pushed back against the criticism and continued arguing, even with viewers who appeared mainly concerned that he could be banned for violating traffic laws.
Georgia Viewers Blame Twitch For Allegedly Encouraging This Content
For context, Ray lives with hugely popular streamer and influencer Kai Cenat in their $10 million content house in Atlanta. Because of this, some critics outside Twitch believe Ray may not face meaningful consequences or a ban from the platform.
“Twitch encourages that.”
“On top of that, he’s Kai’s friend, so nothing is gonna happen. And even if it does, Kai will bail him out as he did with Rakai.”
This is not the first time Ray has been involved in a law-related controversy. In June 2024, Ray and fellow streamer Fanum were confronted by the NYPD after riding in an overloaded Lamborghini during the Dominican Day Parade in New York. The incident resulted in police seizing Fanum’s luxury car and arresting its driver.
So far, Georgia authorities have not taken any action over Ray’s latest alleged traffic violation, though the footage was only recorded and uploaded several hours ago.
