California Couple Allegedly Stages Kidnapping, Then Blames Random ‘Dangerous Immigrant’: ‘How Do People Actually Think They’ll Get Away With This Sh*t’

Ever listened to someone’s tale and sarcastically thought to yourself, “Likely story” since their account seemed like anything but? Well, almost the entire internet believes a California mother’s kidnapping story to be bogus, if not a telltale that she is actually the culprit. Her tale begins in a Big 5 Sporting Goods parking lot when she claims to have been changing her 7-month-old’s diaper, and a voice behind her said “Hola” before everything went “white.”

“I was going to get the diaper and somebody said, ‘Hola,’ and I don’t remember anything since,” the California mom recalled. “I woke up here on the floor and I didn’t see Emmanuel,” she told KTLA, Emmanuel being her 7-month-old son. However, there definitely seems to be inconsistencies in her story. Where was her husband at this time, or why would a kidnapper say ‘hola’ of all things before assaulting a woman to take away her baby? Other online users also smell foul play as they wonder why the mom was seemingly fake-crying during her interview with ABC7, along with how she and her husband refer to their missing baby in the past tense.

The California Mom’s Story Has Too Many Inconsistencies

“Her husband had a prior conviction of child abuse,” claims a Reddit user reacting to the news story. Another person added that “the ‘hola’ thing is a clear attempt to get the public riled up thinking it’s some ‘dangerous immigrant.'” Not to mention, there’s no way a kidnapper would announce their arrival before attacking, and it’s too much like a movie for the victim to wake up right after the crime had been committed. The whole thing just seems overly fishy, and no one is buying the California parents’ story. In fact, many believe the parents not only staged the kidnapping but also possibly killed their baby.

“How do people actually think they’ll get away with this sh*t in this, the year 2025?” remarks a highly upvoted commenter. “That poor baby is gone, they know what happened, they know what they’ve done with him, and it’s just a matter of time before they’re arrested.” Another user added that there are “dozens of similar cases in which parents have killed their children and then invented cover stories like this one.”

Whatever the case, only time will tell if investigators are able to crack the case and discover whether the parents are actually innocent–or guilty. For the time being, though, the odds are definitely not leaning in their favor.
