A troubling incident of road rage in Douglasville, Georgia, is under police investigation after a Black woman reported that a White couple pulled up beside her at a red light and began yelling racial slurs and making violent threats. This sparked outrage, as several netizens believe that racism has become a common, unfortunate event that many people are facing nowadays around the country.
The woman, identified as Shanita Adams, told WSB-TV that the incident occurred shortly after she left a Sam’s Club on Concourse Parkway. According to Adams, the couple had first become confrontational with an elderly Black woman, allegedly calling her a racial slur and threatening her in an aggressive way.
After the elderly woman drove away, the couple reportedly redirected their hostility toward Adams, repeating the same threats and comments. Adams managed to record parts of the encounter, capturing moments when the couple made obscene gestures and when the White female passenger partially leaned out of the dark sedan’s window to shout more offensive remarks.
Describing the confrontation, Adams called the woman’s behavior both shocking and deeply disturbing. She mentioned that this situation got out of control quickly, taking her normal 30-minute commute to 1 hour, as she couldn’t handle the stress of the situation and had to stop to calm down after the traumatic experience.
WSB-TV mentioned that police are reviewing the video as part of their investigation and stated that the pair could face charges of making terroristic threats once identified. The news outlet blurred the woman’s face in the footage, as she has not been formally charged, though she was heard telling Adams that her name was Kenya.

TikTokers believe that racism is running rampant around the country and that authorities should do something to stop racist people from attacking others.
