Summer is right around the corner, and if you are looking forward to a few lazy days in front of the TV we’ve rounded up what we think are the 6 best Netflix upcoming releases perfect to binge in 2025, as well as a couple from Amazon. This list includes a bit of everything, from drama to thriller and romance.
1. Ginny And Georgia

If you’ve been keeping up with Ginny & Georgia on Netflix, then you already know it’s wildly addictive. Between the drama, the cliffhangers, and the chaos, the series knows how to keep viewers hooked. And of course, Netflix has mastered the art of making us wait forever between seasons.
The show first hit the platform back in early 2021, introducing us to Georgia and her two kids, Ginny and Austin, as they packed up and moved north for a fresh start. But naturally, nothing goes as planned—and things spiral fast, landing the family in a mess of secrets, struggles, and jaw-dropping moments.
Season 2 finally dropped in January 2023, but fans were left hanging yet again. Luckily, the wait is almost over: Ginny & Georgia Season 3 officially lands on June 5th.
Expect things to get darker this season, with Georgia and Ginny heading down some seriously intense paths in the 10-episode run. But fair warning: if Netflix stays true to form, don’t be surprised if Season 4 doesn’t hit our screens until 2027. But, we hope that isn’t the case this time around and Netflix shows us fans a little more mercy.
2. The Waterfront

The Waterfront is Netflix’s next big drama drop, premiering June 19, 2025. The new series is created by Scream mastermind Kevin Williamson and follows the messy and chaotic world of the Buckley family as they fight to keep their fishing empire afloat on the North Carolina coast.
The series is inspired by true events and dives deep into family drama and the ruthless lengths people will go to protect their family legacy. Season 1 consists of eight episodes of family drama, power plays, and plenty of small-town secrets that binge-watchers live for. Some of us may get a familar vibe from the series and with good reasson. The Waterfront is filmed in the same town as a couple of our old school favorite teen angst dramas, Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill. We can’t wait to see if the Netflix series charactors can manage to hit us with the same feels as Dawson and Joey and the Scott brothers.

Squid Game Season 3 returns. It is scheduled to premiere on June 27, 2025, on Netflix. However, it will be the third and final season of the popular South Korean thriller.
The third and final season of the South Korean survival thriller Squid Game officially titled Squid Game 3. The series is created by writer and producer Hwang Dong-hyuk.
In Season 3, the final six episodes are slated to go out with a bang. The stakes are even higher this season as the players are thrown into deadlier games with brutal consequences. Meanwhile, In-ho rolls out the red carpet for the VIPs, and his brother Jun-ho is still hunting for the island, but be on the lookout for a surprising traitor lurking in the shadows. We can’t wait to find out who the real villian is as the series comes to an end.
4. Wednesday Season 2

The ghoulish Wednesday Addams returns to Netflix in Season 2 on August 6. However, fans shouldn’t expect Season 2 to be a quick binge-watch session.
Netflix is toying with viewers’ emotions and patience with Season 2. When Wednesday returns, you’ll glide through the first four episodes in no time. The final four will drop on September 3, so you won’t be left hanging for too long.
Fans can expect to see the original cast members return with a few new faces adding to the mystery and intrigue as well as some interesting guest stars.
Viewers will recall when we last saw Wednesday Addams she was headed out of Nevermore Academy for summer break. But not before she receives some seriously creepy texts from an unknown sender. According to the Season 2 logline, Wednesday’s heading back to Nevermore, and things are about to get even messier with plenty of dark drama, she’s in for another year of twisted fun, and all the chaos fans live for. It is also dropping just before the Halloween season officially kicks off, and will surley give us all plenty of interesting costume ideas.
5. The Better Sister

Amazon Prime also brings TV fans a few new summer binge-worthy series to their fans. Based on Alafair Burke’s 2019 novel, the Better Sister series drops on May 29 and promises to bring suspense and drama to captivate audiences from the first episode.

The two are thrown back into each other’s lives after a bizarre murder turns their lives upside down.
