Trump’s approval has been plummeting lately, just six months after he became President. I’d like to say this is a surprise, but it isn’t. Trump’s immigration policies, tariffs, and other questionable things that border on illegal have left many Americans with a sour taste. However, it seems that things are worse than we thought for the POTUS. Many independents and a few Republicans are already showing their disapproval for the President, and it seems things will not slow down anytime soon, especially with all the things Trump has been doing lately, in and outside the country.
Trump’s Approval Ratings Show Independents and Republicans Are Against Him Now
According to CBS and YouGov, new information claims that Trump’s approval is falling fast. Based on a recent poll, Democrats are still unhappy with him, with 86% against Trump. However, 59% of independents disapprove of the President, and even 9% of Republicans are against the man who runs the country.
Another poll regarding the recent immigration operations says that 52% of people think Trump is “deporting more people than they expected.” With only 37% of people thinking he is deporting what they expected. If you’ve followed the recent news, there have been many victims who are legal citizens and have been wrongfully arrested by ICE agents.
Back in June, 53% of people thought Trump was deporting dangerous criminals out of the country. However, 56% of people now think he’s deporting individuals who aren’t dangerous at all, which is a significant shift.
Here’s the kicker, though. When asked about what the Trump administration is focusing on, 70% of people claimed he is not focusing on lowering prices, as he said in many of his political campaigns. Instead, they claim he’s hellbent on the deportation aspect, which shouldn’t be the main focus of the administration.
For the cherry on top, 58% of people disapprove of Trump’s overall job rating, which is a lot when you look at it. Also, with him being in the Oval Office for only six months, these numbers aren’t great and show how displeased people are with the President.
You can just take a look at some of the comments on the video to see how many are feeling.
“Should be much lower.” – One user wrote.
“Absolutely regret voting for him.” – Another user commented.
With Trump’s approval rating sitting at 42%, people wonder if they made the right call in putting him in the White House. Even some Republicans are having second thoughts now that the President is focusing on things that bring no benefits to the citizens around the country. Will this change anything? We certainly hope so, because people are starting to realize Trump is hurting the country more than helping it.
