The mythical ‘Florida Man’ strikes again! But this time, he surprisingly has the public’s support. Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis was conducting a speech recently when a random man in the audience yelled some rather hostile comments. “Is that your f—ing legacy?” the man questions the politician. DeSantis tried to interrupt the angry man with several “Stops,” but that only fired up the yelling audience member.
“You bow down to a f—ing pedophile!” the Florida man screamed, before security likely hauled him away. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, it’s pretty clear what the individual was referring to, specifically regarding Trump and the Epstein files. While many Trump supporters are turning a blind eye to the President’s dismissal of what’s said, even blaming Obama and Biden for ‘inventing’ the files, sensible citizens have not.
The Internet Has Florida Man’s Back This Time
Of course, screaming at a governor during his speech is rather extreme, many online users feel as though the Florida Man did the right thing this time. “For once Florida man is doing something smart,” remarks a Reddit commenter. “He needs to hear the truth,” chimes in another, referring to DeSantis. A response tries to defend the governor while criticizing him at the same time, claiming that he “probably actually hates Trump’s guts, but he’s too much of a coward to do anything but suck up to him.” Of course, this could be true; it could not. But the statement did resonate with dozens of others who upvoted the comment.
One Reddit commenter, upvoted by hundreds of others, simply stated what we’re all thinking: “More of this, please.” With so much regression happening in both the economy and society because of the current administration, it can feel like the average citizen is being silenced from any sort of protest. Fortunately, people like this Florida Man and others who actively speak out against lawmakers ruining the country shine a spark of hope that not everyone’s under MAGA’s spell.
As the “Florida Man’s redemption tour fires up,” hopefully, we’ll see the rest of America eventually rebuild itself after all the damage that’s been done both to the economy and the country’s sense of community.
