Having an affair should be an evident “no” in everyone’s book. However, there are a few people who still have one, and even if they try to hide it from the public eye and the people they are cheating on, sometimes, fate works against them. One such example occurred recently, when the CEO of Astronomer, Andy Byron, was caught allegedly having an affair with his co-worker, Kristin Cabot, at a Coldplay concert. Judging by their reactions, no one was supposed to find out about this because as soon as the “couple’s camera” focuses on them, they try to hide from everyone.

The clip has been shared everywhere on the internet by now, but the footage we got was from the Pop Base account on X, formerly known as Twitter. In it, you can observe the jumbotron going around different people who attended this Coldplay concert.
The camera first shows a person putting a crown on their head. After that, it shifts to Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot, with the former holding Cabot in his arms. Chris Martin, Coldplay’s vocalist, says, “Oh, look at these two.” Quickly after, Byron gets out of the shot and ducks, trying to avoid more looks. Kristin covers her face and turns around from the camera. The nail in the relationship coffin is Chris Martin saying, “either they are having an affair or they are very shy.”
The clip ends there, but the story continues, as Andy Byron had to do some serious damage control this morning. It would seem that people started flooding his LinkedIn profile with comments regarding the recent event, with some saying things like:
“Andy, fair play mate.” – Ryan Oliver via LinkedIn.
“It was all Yellow until the camera panned on them.” – Ajay Punigati via LinkedIn.
At the time of writing, Byron has turned off all comments in his profile, which was probably the most intelligent decision here. Yet, an even smarter and more obvious decision would’ve been not to have an affair to begin with, but I guess that was obvious for everyone except Andy Byron.
Another thing that makes the whole thing even more ironic is that Kristin Cabot is the company’s HR Chief. If you don’t know what HR stands for, it is Human Resources, which is, ideally, the department in charge of keeping the peace around a workplace, including the control of workers’ relationships and other things. So, if this is truly an affair, that just shows Cabot isn’t cut out to be an HR representative in any company.
As you can expect, a lot of people have started digging into Andy and Kristin’s past, and it seems the former was a big fan of Cabot when he hired her. According to The New York Post, Byron has praised Cabot’s work several times, saying things like:
“She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies, and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer.”
In the same report from the NY Post, Cabot also said in the past that she felt “energized in my conversations with Andy and the Astronomer leadership team.” While everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt, this situation looks highly suspicious, and with the two trying to delete evidence and shut down their profiles, it all looks worse.
Even if it hasn’t been confirmed that this was an affair, the way the two acted makes it look quite evident. Furthermore, Andy Byron’s wife deleted her Facebook profile, which just makes the whole thing look even shadier. If it was an actual affair, we just hope those affected, meaning Byron’s wife and family, can find peace during these upcoming turbulent times.
