A now-deleted TikTok video shared by a woman from Oregon has sparked widespread outrage online after she made unsettling remarks about what she claimed she might do if Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) ever attempted to detain her children. In the brief clip, the woman opened by asking other mothers if they shared her fears about the recent ICE raids taking place across multiple U.S. states.

The woman, describing herself as *“literally separating from reality right now,”* spoke candidly about her fear that ICE might one day come to her door to take her children—even though, at no point in the video, did she suggest that she or her children were undocumented. She also revealed experiencing intrusive and deeply distressing thoughts about harming herself or her children, believing that doing so might spare them from the suffering she imagined would follow if authorities took them away. *“This is not the life I wanted,”* she admitted, *“but that’s a very dark thought I’ve had. Death would feel like an easier way out than watching my children be taken and hurt.”*

Video Sparks Alarm Over Children’s Safety

The woman’s comments stirred widespread concern among viewers—not only because of their extreme nature but also because she appeared to express them as genuine, deeply held convictions rather than passing or hypothetical fears. Although she later deleted the video following intense criticism, reposted clips rapidly circulated across multiple platforms, garnering millions of views.Public anxiety grew even further when another video resurfaced, featuring the same woman admitting she had purchased a firearm despite previously asserting that she never intended to own one. She defended her decision by stating that *“this country feels frightening”* right now.

In the comments section, numerous viewers voiced serious concern for the children and questioned why the woman believed ICE would target her family in the first place. One person urged, *“Someone find the father—he needs full custody immediately.”* Another commented, *“Those children need to be rescued.”* A third added, *“Knowing people like this have children makes me pray even harder. It’s always the kids who suffer, isn’t it?”*

Several viewers also questioned the logic behind her fears. “Why would she or her children be taken and harmed by ICE? Are they undocumented or criminals? If not, she’s fine,” one comment read. Another bluntly stated, “She’s obviously a citizen. Why would she actually believe ICE would be after her or her children? Mental illness.”
